300tdi, belts and w/pump

Christ i dont half pick them..

Going to search in a sec but i may need advice here as first disco..

All belts have disappeared and water leaking from top front of engine onto alternator..all pulleys turn freely, but the top pulley is very easy to turn and wobbles!

I'm going for seized water pump thats wecked the belts...correct?

Any tips on replacing all this or is it straightforward?

Oh, temperature guage didnt rise, i just felt the powers steering go about a mile from home..

correct water pump is top one,common to fail piece of **** as long as 3 x bolts going through housing into block (the three lower bolts ) undo stc1086 is pump

Thanks James..looks like same configuration as on the power steering pulley i got from you! Fingers crossed the pulley wheel isnt fubar or i'll be stuck here til monday!

get 2 x err4686b brass bungs 1 for rad and 1 for thermostat housing as you will need to refill and both need to overflow at same time

Confused with the belt numbers now! Mines a 94 300, theres 2 showing, ERR5911 and ERR3287...

Whats the difference between the belts out of interest?

BTW Halfords wanted £94+vat for a waterpump...craddocks £15.50.

err5911 is slightly longer to make up for alternator pulley on later engines
