Just had my beast back from it's MOT, and saw the transmission dipstick was out.

Had a check of it myself using the manual's instructions.

Can't see any oil in it whatsoever.

Would I be wise to go straight to a shop, buy some and fill up, or can it wait a couple of days?

Second opinion needed :D

you checked while engine running neutral i presume ,even though level is not that exact in box as will run fine as long as pick up pipe allways has oil around it so doesnt pick up air ,you dont know if thats the case or if its is now whether it will be when cornering braking or going up hill ,i would get some fresh atf to put in

Right, I bought and put in a litre, and it's still not showing on the dipstick.

Any suggestions? Or should I just buy more and fill again and again until I get a reading?

but if its driving you must have most of that in ,typically when draining oil you only get 5 ish litres out as torque convertor clutch packs etc hold the rest
