Disco 1 300tdi Auto oil cooler pipe new design

Just had to replace one of my gearbox oil cooler lines, changed the lower one last year, and now the upper. Ordered UBP101000 from total parts who then got it from Bearmach. When it arrived it was silver in colour and I thought it might be an inferior product, but comparing it to all the other cooler pipes available, the joints between metal pipe and rubber hose seem to more robust. I am wondering if this product will resolve the typical leak that most seem to experience at the joints after just a year, time will tell I suppose.
