My 110 has been on the road for about a year and a half after a full rebuild. Unfortunately the new paddocks rear exhaust section looks like it’s just about to rot through. The rest of the system is “Walker” and was on it when I got it and still looks fine. I don’t want to go down the stainless route as it’s not a show queen. Can anyone recommend a decent rear section from any of the suppliers, or are they all made in China from recycled sunken boats.

18 month to two years sound about right to me for a non stainless section of exhaust, with the use and exposure a defender gets. that how long mine last at least. I want to go stainless but I am struggling to justify the cost as it would take about 15 years of standard replacements before it has paid for itself.

Maybe I am expecting too much then? I’ll wait till it goes and then replace it again. I might try an Allmakes one this time.

Shame I didn’t keep the old rear pipe, there was no rust just the tailpipe had broken off the end of the silencer, I could have just welded on a straight pipe.
