300 tdi window regulator

Hi peeps.

I ordered a driver's side window regulator for my 300 tdi Disco as it was having a problem working the window properly at the top part of travel due to somehow grinding off like 6 teeth from the regulator gear (one on motor was fine).
Regulator arrived and waited for a good day to change it which was this morning but it's a different part :doh:

The one removed from the car has a fairly flat zinc coated plate and has a coil spring on it, the one they sent for my '95 Disco is like this:

Is it just me being blonde or can this also fit as I can't fathom it. If not, then damnit, 'cuz it's been too long to exchange it for the one I need so it means more off the old wage

There two types of electric regulators for disco front doors, up to vin MA137189 and from vin MA177190. U have a reg for the from MA127190 and at £14+ it's a bargain.

The one I have in the car is the older type like the 200 tdi and early 300 tdi (my car is a 95, a crossover year where stuff changed). The part I was sent was a new regulator for a later 300 tdi 95 - 98/99. Which doesn't fit. Ordered a second hand one from ebay now to direct replace mine. Which means a brand new, with fittings, never used regulator for a later 300 series is going up on ebay soon lol.

Thanks for the advice though, gonna be careful next time i need one to order the right part:doh:

I did my passenger side years ago and then a regulator cost me £75.20 to buy from Land Rover. O the good old days.
I will look out for yours on eBay. Also see what they are going for.

Mine has just gone so if you fancy selling it -I will buy it now-if the price is sensible-mine is a 96 300 tdi

Sorry for late reply. Yeah you can have it for a tenner plus postage?

And thanks for the advice peeps, got mine changed, wasn't actually too difficult, and was a good a time as any to fit my new door speakers too
