Hi, I've just bought my 1st Land Rover and I'm really happy with it, but three occasions in the last week the immobiliser has not always worked, I've changed the battery in the fob and re programmed it to the car. Its ok to begin with but within two-four days it plays up and does not always let me start the car (I can unlock the car with the fob but not lock it, am I supposed to be able to lock it with the fob??) do I need to take it to Land Rover for them to look at it, I mean I know they plug them into a machine but I just wondered if you thought it was the fob (which is pretty worn to be honest) or the car. Thanx hope someone can help. Sarah

Hi Sarah,
Oh yes, it is a known problem without a solution looks like.
Landrover have send out a replace the antenna instruction to increase the range, but I wonder if that will help your problem.
My remote battery does never last long. For other cars I replace perhaps after 3 years but with Disco twice a year.
And yes you ave to lock it with the FOB.
Sorry that I cannot help you
