Urgently need a Fuel tank cradle for a 300 TDi.
Don't seem to be making these any more.
Removed the one on my Project and it has a rather large crack in it. Would rather not weld it if possible.
Anyone got a good 2nd hand one.
Looking for it posted to Glasgow

I've removed my tank and cradle etc from my 300tdi 90 if that's any good to you, it's yours if you can pick up or arrange a collection or courier whatever

Very good of you to offer.
I have no idea if it will fit. this is what mine looks like (No. 7)

Took the old one off with the intention of perhaps welding up a visible crack but think its gone way past that.
Any ideas other than obtaining a sheet of steel and attempting to make one?

This is turning into a head scratcher, new parts are not available any more.
Have checked all parts stockists and part is now obsolete.
Other than trying to fabricate a new one, has anyone any ideas where to source a good 2nd hand one?

Look for someone scrapping a 300 ... I got one from someone on here ...

Had to modify the bolt fittings as they were well past it too ...

I did burst 3 out of the 4 bolts removing it. But the brackets look ok and re-usable, just need to use nuts and bolts as the 2 at the rear with the welded captive nuts are long gone.
Did you manage to get a decent 2nd hand one?

Yup all it needed was a good clean, one tack weld on a split corner and redressing to fit proper ...slapped a coat of etch primer and chassis paint on - good to go ...

Can't you hang on and wait for the next spares day? There is a land rover show at donington at the end of the month but not sure if has a spares section.

Nightly bump.
Tried a few breakers but coming up with a blank.

Have a look at one from a P38, may not be exactly the same but they are similar. Maybe easier to mod one of those than fabricate one from scratch. Give Emmotts a ring 01282 859468.
