300 tdi exhaust

My tail pipe dropped off the other day on my way to Tesco.Luckily it happened then and not while I was doing 60 down the M5! Ive already got the de-cat pipe but I was thinking of putting a straight through pipe on to help give a little more power when towing.Is it legal? Would it be to noisy?Would it make any difference to power?

Depends if the engine is petrol or diesel u need to do other things to get more power other than the exhaust, although the engine may run better, but modifiyng the exhaust system to increase the noise is illegal in the UK

Hi i have a 300 tdi that i recently purchased when i got it it was missing the back box it was snapped off just after the middle box but it was no different when i fitted a new back box on it although mine does still have the cat on it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that,think Ill just get cheap middle section and tail pipe from Paddocks £37.44.Worked it out if I buy two filter kits with it it comes to exactly £50.00 so I get free delivery.I,m running on 25% veg oil at the moment and I seem to have more power and I,m getting better m.p.g

Hmmmm interesting.Just looked on MM Land rovers and they do straight middle section for £40.00 in stainless steel .I would still need rear section .Is your rear section straight or have you got the silencer.
