Curious if there is a significant difference in force between 300tdi to 200tdi ?

What do you mean by force?

i mean motor force.

Horsepower and torque?Small-ish difference,just noticeable.The 300 is a more "refined" unit,smoother on road but many prefer the agricultural grunt of the 200....horses for courses,reckons I

I going to assume you mean torque.

On paper no real difference between the two, but the turbo on the 300 has slightly higher boost and in my experience feels like it pulls better from lower revs than the 200.

According to convensional wisdom the 200 is supposed to be the more robust of the two, but this is probably due to early pulley alignment issues with the 300. The 200 is also not without it's fault. HGF around the back of piston 4 is not unknown.

The 300 turbo location is the same between Defender and Discovery but the 200 had a lower turbo position in Discovery fitment form.

why dont u just drive a disco that has a 300 init and one that has a 200 init and make your own mind up?..figures on paper are worthless in the real world

Don't forget that the 200 and early 300 can be tweaked very easily and at no expense to make them a lot more driveable
