Hi just sold my series lightweight and brought freelander 1 . Just see there is a 3 inch spring lift for sale on ebay is this ok to fit .or will it cause problems or can I go higher .regards brian

3 inch for FL ?
2 Inch can be a problem sometimes (inner fender cutting, CV's angle, sway bar, camber angle)

with 3 inch your track rods will have collision with chassis box sections, camber angle will be to great to correct it, to short ABS wires, and CV joints will have short life i think.

If you would like to have 3 inch use spacers (SES88 :p) and larger tires ;)

fit 205 80 16 tyres they give you a natural 1" lift (plenty) and don't stress or change any of the geometry ;)

+1

I got total 2,05" with 1.2" (30mm) spring lift and 205/80/16 . No fender cutting and other problems. And still a little space to use under track rods.

Thanks for all your advice will stay on safe side of things and go for small lift. As any one seen or done a higher lift before

never considered a 1" lift :scratching_chin:

that would be a very good idea in conjuction with the tyres ;)

you can put full 2 inch on spacers if would like to do some inner fenders cutting and camber correcting. (can be done with special bolts) and add another ~1" on tires

We have here few done like that.

Some nerds :)P) delete it ;D :banplease:

Just ask if you would like to know "The Secrets" of my Adventurer edition :D

Is that exspensive to fit interested in that
~1200-1300 pounds

- 720 inc VAT for diff insert
- 120 for new Crown wheel and pinion
- 130 for new bearing set
- about 150 for few smaller elements - shims, collapsible spacer, nuts, ect

and you need new diff type, TVK000180, fitted from MY'01 . Those have larger diff carrier bearings.
