Freelander 1 3 door roof bar mounts

Hi guys,

I brought some roof bars of eBay for my 3 door but when I went to fit it I didn't have any mounting points for the front bits in the roof when you take the little caps off.

Where can I get some from?

Or can I make some?

When you say mounting points, do you mean the captive nut the bars bolt to?

I think so, at the moment there's 2 bolts. But I assume there's a piece that's fits to this and then the roof bar bolts to the piece. Don't know what it looks like.

I assumed they come with the roof rack so I rang the seller but they didn't want to know.

Not available separately - Open an ebay dispute and get yourself a refund.

They may argue that they didn't list "fittings" or "fixings" but they're only roofbars if all the bits are there. Without them, they're just metal tubes and should be valued accordingly.

..... or there may be a plan "b".

I won an auction for an identical set of bars that states "all fixings, seals etc" last night. When it turns up (probably Friday next week) I'll take some measurements. It may be possible to make up a replacement using some box section and a rivnut/captive nut.

I'll open a dispute.
Bit if you could get me the measurements and I'll bodge something.
