Right, the charity event now has a name, and papework is with the MSA.
Entry is £50 for a team of two.
Teams will need to raise "ideally" a minimum of £200 in sponsorship,
with the proceeds going to Alzheimers Society, Cancer Research UK and
Kidney Research UK.
All marques of 4x4 can take part, regardless of whether they have a
green oval or not!
The event starts early Saturday morning and finishes mid Sunday
afternoon.
An overnight rest has been arranged. This will involve camping in
tents or vehicles, as we are trying to keep costs down. A BBQ will be
provided on Saturday night.
The events consist of a navigational scatter on the road. Precise
details of the off road stages are being kept secret, but expect some
"different" stages, as well as some of the usual RTV stages. Co
drivers can drive road stages as well as the driver, but only the
driver may drive off road stages.
Expected distance is approx 300 miles over the whole weekend from
start point to finish point.
Sections have been designed so that standard 4x4s can compete.
Entry forms and supplementary regs can be found at:
http://www.peterborough4x4.btinternet.co.uk/4x4challenge/
I know its a long web address at the mo, but I am working to change it
to something better!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Failing that, I will be
at the Donington show on Sunday, look for GLASS and I will be there! I
will also have a raft of entry forms and regs with me!
