Hi, I have just bought 2 3.9efi engines for a college project however one is still in a disco and needs removed. what bits do I need to remove from the car to have an engine capable of running on a test bench? is there a remote lift pump?
sorry im more used to those dreaded tdi's so the electrickery is confusing me :)

allen socket or 15mm socket I think for the bellhousing bolts and have fun getting to the top one, remove engine mount bolts and lift it out with a hoist

Make sure you take all the EFI wiring out with it in one go, ECU, resistor pack, MAF, relays the lot! Chop as little as you can to make testing easier and yes bench test is easy enough too just hook up the wires to a battery
