3.9 v8 belts

hi ive just fitted a new water pump to my 3.9 v8 and got some new belts from craddocks but the new ones are slighty samller and really hard to get on is this notmall do they strech after use and roughly how logn does it take ?

Yes - they do stretch - one of the reasons for changing them

this is really tight though take off all tension i can and still a real struggle to get on this normal
