Hi guys
I have checked the search facility for this, but the posts are either years old or inappropriate.
My '87 RRC auto needs a new radiator (non A/C model) as the existing Britpart item is leaking. Despite being fitted 13 years ago the rad. has only given 20K miles service so I'm going to avoid the brand this time around.
I've read on here that radiators from both Nissens & Champion have been favoured by some peeps & the former supplier is popular with classic BMW owners, but I've yet to check out their product range.

OE rads. seem to be extremally pricy, but on the other hand I do want value-for-money.
Any thoughts appreciated guys.

Nissens seem to get recommended often on here

A couple of comments. Firstly the radiator you have has lasted 13 years. Mileage is not relevant as the lifetime of the unit is dependent on the quality of the coolant used and it maintenance.

Secondly, Nissens is an excellent brand.

Expect yours will be much the same as mine, no plastic bits.
Last time I needed to replace it I took it a local radiator specialists (Leicester Radiators) who rebuilt it for me.
About 2/3 the price of a new one.
Anywhere near to you that could do it?

Thanks for the replies guys, I looked at Nissens site but the item I need is currently out of stock :(
Ratae ... possibly, but I'm not confident about BP's quality so I'd rather buy new.

nb. Champion Radiators seem to be in (or entering) liquidation, according to the web.
