I have a 2nd fob for my car but no 2nd key

Wife went into timpsons to ask price of a new one.
Bloke behind counter said he couldn't give her a price as he said its not just a key it's part of the immobiliser

I thought the fob was the immobiliser not the key

Think im right in saying the fob is central locking and alarm, key has a transponder to immobilise, some one will put us right im sure. lol

PS I had a new key done last week at my local cobbler,s £50, works fine

The reason for me asking is i dnt see how there is anything in my key it has a black head but flips a bit an can see the end of the key will try and upload a pic

your does not have the immobiliser in it just the key
