2gether landy insurance

Hey guys,

was on phone with some insurance companies. Lancaster was quoting me £364 but now after saying I had winch and bumper, snorkel and guards. I also said I was going to add two seats in n the back with no seatbelts in my defender 90 (1991, 200tdi). After few days of them looking came back with £800 quote, with no greenlaning etc. I said initialy without the seats they were not going to increase premiums due to winch and bumper and snorkel etc. Seems to have changed since gthe rear seats, but they said it wasnt todo with the seats, just highway 4x4 pulled out. hmmm said I have to limit miles to 5000 to get back with them.


also got a quote from 2gether insurance, anyone heard of them? with everything declared and green laning etc £320. limited to 10000 (which is fine), but can add 3000 miles for £60. but, I dont recruit any no claims bonus, and I dont use my no claims with them. said I could use them to get another car and that they would freeze them so that my no claims wont expire etc. anyone heard of this before? not recruiting no claims, and of the insurance company 2getherinsurance, underwriters highway (who pulled out of last quote? with lancaster??, hmm)

sureterm did something very similar with the wifes gaylander,,underwriters were also highway,had alot of trouble cancelling the policy when we sold the motor...(beware)..have you tried adrian flux been with them for the past 5 years on the defender ..cheapest evry year for me...

National Farmers Union. Phone them up speak to your local branch they'll sort you out very cheap. Dunno about off road mods but re seats it dont effect insurance unless you add more than 5 (in london) or 7 (out of london).

said I cant cancel the 2gether, underwriters highway policy, thats part of the agreement and can only transfer to other landrover also.

just phoned up adrian flux and quoted me £2500 for me landy. I told them 2gether insurance quoted me £320 full comp bla bla. and they said dont phone around and snap them up. said thats a very good deal for my curcumstances. ie 27 years old, location I guess and landy.

muck muck I guess you didnt make a claim, so your only concern with them was because you wanted to cancel due to change of landrover/car thingy.

My 110 is with footman james on a classic car policy, fully comp, 25 years old, £127.50 with free get you home breakdown cover too. They didn't let me use my no claims bonus so if I stay with them for more than two years my current no claims will expire unless I use it on another car.

footman james was at 600£ bucks. does your classic car policy mean you can only use it as a second car? ie not your main one?

was your cover on the freelander by highway as a second vehicle, or as the main one? I made it clear I want it as a main vehicle but the insurance companies I have tried want me to use it as a second car etc, wont touch it as a main car.

this is insured with lancaster,all mods declared,me the mrs and the bro in law fully comp £126

wilt that includes green laning? is it classed as your main vehicle? they wasnt loving me after I mentioned greenlane and rear bench seats.

na.i started cleanin it and got bored,the passenger door paint came orf when i removed stckers so just sprayed some white on it.its bein resprayed in a few weeks..

teh insurance covers green lanein

sorry mate aint been on since friday,,the gaylander was insured as only vehicle.the problems started when the wife wanted to change her vehicle..wot a farce
