Hi,
Just replaced the master cylinder on my 2A - the CB type of master cylinder. Now im having big problems bleeding the system. Tried the tips in the manual - pressurising the system, jacking the front up until the master cylinder is horizontal. Still cant get any fluid out of the bleed nipple, just a sucking and blowing noise. Any ideas gratefuly accepted!

Try pressurising with an eezy-bleed system & gently pressing the brake pedal at the same time. I assume your bleed nipples are all clear, it won't hurt to remove them completely & have an assistant quickly put them back in when fluid begins to flow.
Also another problem I once had (though probably not your problem) was with a brake line that a motor factor made up for me. His flaring tool was worn out & hadn't made a good job of the pipe end & when bolted in the hole was off centre & effectively blocked. Took us ages to figure that one out.

Thanks everyone for the help with my brakes - turned out to be the adjustment on the master cylinder. Now I have finally got the car on the road - yahoo - more problems are obvious.
I have a lot of noise from the transmission. No problems when im accelerating or decelerating but in between when im just touching the accelerator it sounds as if the prop shaft is about to drop off. Lot of play somewhere? anyone any idea the most likely places to look?
