The landy currently has 285/75/16's on offset rims which are too off road focused for my liking, I'd probably be looking at some Cooper ST Maxx , maybe cooper STT or bfg all terrains.

The landy also has been lifted with flexi arches, question is would a 265/75/16 look daft with such a lift?

Heres a pic as it is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/hockfoci/brutas3.jpg

Anyone have any pics of a lifted landy and 265/75/16's ?

no pics but with those arches 265s will probably look a bit small. Standard arches might help but you are prob better off going back to standard height springs, they arent that expensive.

wow man the 3+ inch lift must make the handeling shockingly bad, and yes 265 would make that look silly ,with standard springs ,it will look alrite or maby a one or two inch ,as the 750x16 on the older ones are the same hight as the 265x75r16,but with a big lift no!

To be fair the previous owner fitted some hefty springs and the handing is very good, I thought it would wallow like hell on the road but i was wrong :) One of my mates who's pretty into his defenders (had around 20!) couldn't believe how well it handles.

I think you guys are right though, if it's staying that high it deserves the bigger shoes and i don't really want to start stripping the suspension down back to normal.

The old tyres are now on fleabay btw if anyone's after some mud pluggers: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

thanks, I replied in the posts where i was asked about them, either within the post or via pm, and they're in the for sale section.

Quite an optimistic price there mate, but they should sell
I sold 4 BFG A/T (no wheels) a month ago, their about £140 each and I got £205 for them all, with 1.5mm of wear!

Thanks for the erm.......well....er...constructive criticism guys lol....wheels now sold (at full asking btw ;))

Think I'll be going the BFG route next, any recommendations where to get them? Camskills seems to be the cheapest I can find.

Cant believe you sold some for 200 quid dave90! where they 285/75's? Id have snapped your hand off!
