20tdi freelander running probs help

can anyone help please, i own a 1999 20tdi freelander the cam belt broke i had a local mechanic replace the head with second hand one,new gaskets it started up and ran ok but also had a misfire and the mechanic put his engine dionostic reader on and told me it needed numb 1 ingecter and a airmass senser replacing ive done that now and its cured the problem but after a couple of miles approx10,i lost power and extreme white smoke appeared its now at anougther garage therve relaced the air mass senser with my old one the white smokes stoped but now wont start or run propally hope sumone can help thankyou.

Hi Kriss, I also run a freelander same as yours. I'm almost completed with changing the head. On mine the offside headlamp cover came off. It managed to work it's way between the engine and chassis, snapped the aux drive belt, broke the cam belt covers, snapped the cam belt and bent 5 valves, all quicker than I've just written this, and that was ticking over at a road junction not at any sort of revs.

Did you ever get this problem sorted out with your's?
