Disco 4 (LR4) 2011 vehicle In car stereo question

hi again.
Whilst I love the sound from my 2011 manufacturers fit head unit, I don’t particularly like the functionality of it, so would like to swap it out for something up to date.
Can it be swapped out without issue, or does the vehicle rely upon it? Asking as there’s vehicle setting menus on the current head unit.
