What engine ?
Has it been serviced/oil changed regularly ?
Has it been driven on the beach or through cow shit regularly ?
Has it been waxed/lanoguarded underneath ?
Is there any signs of rust/corrosion on the doors - anywhere ?
Any signs of water ingress ?
Is the clutch still good (has it been towing a lot) ?

Whqa do you want to pay for it ?

As above I would rather have a vehicle that has 300k on the clock but has had a galv chassis and bulkhead, rebuilt gearboxes and a folder full of invoices for parts and work done than a vehicle with 30k that has spent its life rolling around the farm yard in and out of the slurry pit hauling 5ton farm trailers.

Both age and mileage is very irrelevant for a defender condition and maintaince if a far better guide to price. the only other thing is spec, a station wagon will be worth far more than a pickup in any condition.

As above. Buy on condition and not mileage. It could have had a hard life with fewer miles or an easy and well maintained life of higher miles. More information also needed, including condition of chassis and bulkhead, service history, any known issues, what has been replaced…
