how is this engine holding up? since the td6 isnt made after 2006 for the l322 i need to look for somnething else and maybe this is an option. how does this compare to the td6?

Buy a petrol with lpg?
The jag engine in the post 2006 ones is one of the best lumps ever fitted to Land rover products.
On lpg, cost per mile will be at least as good as diesel.

+1.

Is the TDV8 the one where the twin turbos blow and it is (officially) a body off job to replace them?

I can get a trailer to recover your if your P38 breaks down on the way back.:p:)

You asked for that:p

Our TDV8 is great:) the gearbox is great:)
2011 so an old car now but still holds its own in the looks department. Very little issues other than normal servicing, Except front bushes and prop ,an air compressor rebuild and a faulty valve in AC system.

J.

oh except low battery in key fob came up today:eek: and I have probably just jinxed it:oops:

I also have a 2011 TDV8 and I love it.
Touch wood - very reliable so far. Got a 100,000 miles on the clock now and all I have had to do is replace the front diff' - which is probably my own fault for taking it wading without a breather - and just recently had to replace the oil pump seals. Sounds minor but still cost £800 at non-franchised specialist!

Apart from that - it has been a dream.
