200tdi waste gate tweek what's the thread showing?

Ello all,
Bit of an odd question here,
When I baught me 90 I knew it had been tweeted about with the turbo wastegate rod and the fuel pump etc etc.

I'm asking if somebody who has turned their wastegate rod 5/6 turns to build more presure could measure how much of the thread is expsosed? ( on a genuine defender engine not disco engine as it be different ah think )

So I can then work out if I can turn mine more or if it's already been done 5/6 turns by measuring against what thread is showing on mine.

depends from engine to engine ,you could check with a guage ,but even if you wired wastegate shut it wouldnt hurt it

Ahh right thanks James. I'll just wind it on a few and see what it does. My gauge is saying 16psi on full load so will see if it makes any change..

What do the 300tdi run as standard? I think mine any have been tweeked but it's reading 13-14psi on load!

They run about 12/13 standard I think, discovery run 15 if ah remember. so that will prob be normal, the gauge doesn't always give an actuate reading
