Hi everybody,
This is my first time posting here so bare with me please
.
My problem goes beyond the extent of my skill so i have come to you guys of higher land rover knowledge. :alien:
So i recently burst my timing belt coming back from the beach last week on my 200 disco .
i have changed the timing belt my self and followed all the instructions on how to re-set the timing as best i could.
As far as i know the timing belt was not changed before now and for some reason after i put everything back together she won't start. the engine turns over but doesn't start and doesn't sound the same while turning over (makes a slightly different sound
).
Iv heard that pushrods (whatever those are?
) could get damaged when a timing belt bursts. would the engine still turn over? could it be that i just have not set the pump gear right?
Id really appreciate any help!
