200tdi smoking

after fiting a 200tdi from a disco in to a 90 it is smoking relie bad and am hoping it isent the injetors casing it

it has had a new lift pump and a new filter so am going to try pooting a load of fuel cleaner throu the filter and see if that helps

also is it posible to retard the pump or sumthing like that on a 200tdi to try and stop the smoke ?

What colour smoke? On start up or under load?

It's possible the injection pump has been tweaked for power, popular but tends to make them smoke......have a search

It is white is blue smoke and its happening under load

I was thinking the pump had been tweked is it the screw under the cap that's ontop of the pump that controls the fuel

I was also thinking the timing mite be wrong so all check that as well and report back
