Hello there everyone. Im new to this, but i thought picking the brains of people more experienced in landys than me will help.
Basically, ive got a defender with a 200tdi lump in. Showing 113k miles.
Its got a problem.. (Or many of them!)
Sounds rough on idle
Smokes whitey/blue
Limited power
Loud knocking under the rocker.
What ive done to attempt to cure:
Ive changed timing belt, checked it hasnt jumped a tooth and was over fuling. That was all alright.
Ive been told its an injector, and is dribling out of one injector. Which co-insides with the fact when i changed the glow plugs cylinder 1,2,3 were dry and working and 4, was sooty, black soaking wet.
I got told that its probaly cylinder 4 injector thats fooked.
But before i lay out a load of money on injectors etc. anyone got any ideas???
