200tdi powersteering pump

I've got a 200tdi which needs a new power steering pump, are they the same as the 300tdi?

If you try really hard you "MIGHT" find a S/H unit off a scrapper, but be prepared to have to replace that as it will also be half worn out.

I nearly always advise to buy new mechanical components as all too often S/H ones can be equal to half the cost of a new one, your original lasted 100,000+ miles, now a S/H one might last the rest of the cars life, might pack up 50 miles from fitting? But, you only have to replace it twice to have afforded a brand new one that will run for another 100,000 miles?

You do the maths, if a S/H one is £25 then ok, but over £50 and I'd rather spend wise and once don't get suckered into the thinking that it's half so I can afford to do it again if I need to, look at the hassle factor, something greatly overlooked!!!!
