200tdi parts in a 300 transferbox

Well after the diff lock sticking on the disco the worst case has happened.
lost all drive and transmition brake:doh: st this point I knew it wasnt good!
got a tow back to the workshop noticed a hole in the rear diff so on the ramp it went.
took both the props off and found that not only the rear diff was shot the transfer box was bummed too.
stripped the stub axles out and pulled the diff WAHH it was bad, chewed gears two holes in the axle and the main gear split in two.
the transfer box wasnt in a much better shape once stripped but it looks like its just the planetary gears which brings me to my question....
as my pal has a working 200tdi (110) transfer box is it possible to use his planetary gears out of that box to fix my d1 300tdi??

any tips or advice welcomed.

you can use diff gears but housing will be knackered i would have thought ,whole diff can be swapped using your gears and selector hub ,diff sun gears are shimmable with selectable thrust washers you fit one gear at a time and check rolling resistance,planet gear thrust washers are usually best replaced to

Aren't the 200/300 transfer boxes the same i.e. both LT230 boxes? Cant you do a straight swap?
