Hi all

With my old 200tdi in the shed being rebuilt, my dad and I noticed after changing the oil pump that the drive shaft that goes from the pump to the helical gear and the to the brake vacuum pump has one spline 'missing' on both the shaft and the female spline on the vacuum pump drive. Which we assumed both line up to allow oil up to the vacuum pump bearing. Has anybody else noticed this?

Many thanks

its not oil pump or vac pump arent aligned

Ah right, so do the 'missing' splines go 180○ to each other? Or does it not make a difference? This wasn't even in the genuine land rover service book, thanks for the reply jm :D
