Any clues as to why my 200TDi shud be bloody gutless untill the turbo cuts in? then it goes like a rocket:D.

i tried a search but "200" "tdi" and "low" aint liked by the search injun.

wot fings shud i be checking?

wif ur pedigree a 40 un all that u **** be short of mechanucul knuludge.

Wot about the fuel timing, valve adjustment, it goes like fook wif turbo so not fuel starvation, or air, some injection pumps have an advance device in them to give them some oof when under load, pulling away low revs and such like, I guess if that's stuck then you would be lacking pull, but dunt know much about these pumps, the rave cd might give you a breakdown on the pump. They tend to be a bit smokey when timing out on cold start, but white smoke, not black which is overfuel or lack of air.

reet - pump timing - is dat the fing wiv the tapered shaft and the rubber digifram at the top? coz that was been rotated slightly to give a bit more ooomph.
tiz these blurry doozils - int it! no spark plugs n leads to check or distibootor:rolleyes:.
I will be onist - i int loked at the Rave yet - thort i wud ask yu guys and then try the rave for a step by step procedure:eek:.

is there a doozil mekanick int oose?
 

Wow trewey, a bit here and another bit there, and nothing to measure boost or fookall, a lot of guess work here and a blown engine, wif big holes in the pistons. The guy sounds like a roy roger, wif spurs

I dunt mean to **** in your tank, but by the time you are finished here how do you get it back right again. He says watch the boost it might catch you out, fook me, rs tdi.

Might be better to look for a fault first like worn woodruff keys in the crank or sumit tossing the timing out.
