.....apply some anti-seize grease i.e. Coppaslip type of stuff on fitment of the new ones....??

Also, how likely (in a percentage form) are they to snap when getting the old ones out, engine looks to be well maintained...any tips/tricks??

contrary to most engine jobs - its my belief that this is one job to be done when the engine is hot.

get it good and hot - give it ago , dont force it.

Some hi pen spray (dont mean WD40 - i mean plus gas or 3 in1 hi pen spray ) wont hurt

managed to get my 19j ones out without much fight and it looked like the reciepts say they were changed last in 1998 - that was in 2010 i replaced them

Thanks, will warm the engine first.

Any advice on the use of copper grease on the refit of the new plugs?

Also....they're tiny aren't they? just picked them up (Genuine BERU) and I was thinking they were bigger, but in reality they are no bigger than a pencil..!!

Never realised!!

(Who can tell I am not a seasoned Diesel man!!?? :D:D:D)

So, plugs done...copper grease applied.

Followed Bustersbus thread very simple job! http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f41/renewing-glow-plugs-86457.html

Noted that 2,3 & 4 plugs were covered in engine oil....so I assume that the valve stem seals are leaking, hence the puff of smoke and etc!

Will start a new thread about that!!

Rocker gear is lovely and clean though!
