200tdi intercooler

What inter cooler could I put on a 200tdi to gain more power other than a alar done that costs a bomb, anyone used the alloy works on ebay or put a td5 one on?

Td5 wont work without a bit off faffing about as it has an inlet on one side and outlet on the other, unlike the tdi with them both on the same side. I.e rad would be in the way on the drivers side.
I've fitted a universal one on my 6bt project and drilled a hole in each wing for the pipework.
I think the ones with the ports on the same side are known as duel pass, have a look on ebay for one that will fit the space.
That's what I'd do, as the ones from the likes of Alard are silly money.

Not bad at that kind of money to be fair. If it's one that's made to fit that is.

I assume it's a full width one if you're upgrading.

A mate of mine has a td5 on his and makes a bit of difference so I would want a proper 200tdi to make a difference when the pump is altered

How did he fit the td5 intercooler to the 200tdi? by moving the rad over slightly.
Be a cheap way of doing it if it's easy.

A bigger one! s'long as you can make some brackets to mount it in there, and make up some pipe work to join to your existing - it doesn't matter which one you go for. could go up scrappy and find some big diesel van or something

Never seen one but heard off a guy who used to do 200tdi conversions into series and always used Mitsi showgun ones and swore by them as a better alternative to a gen 200tdi one, hope this helps
