200TDI Gearbox Swap

I naively thought swapping one disco box for another in my defender would be straightforward - unfortunately the linkages are different for the gear selector the old box has a modified structure that moves the gear selector forward of the transfer selector but when i have compared to the new box the way that the gear selector fits to the inside of the gears is different - is there any easy solution??? Thanks for any help in advance - Mark

i presume you mean that new one has a yoke under gear box top and old has a slotted quadrant , to change these means stripping box to swap seletor shafts and rear extension housing,or you can make a conversion piece as soneone has on here to fit def top on std disco box
