Firstly sorry to duplicate existing posts but more advice required.
I have what seems to be the a common 200tdi fault of the wipers comming on when the main beam is flashed. Has anyone found a conclusive fix to this like running a new earth. I have given up trying to find a 'dirty' connection.
Secondly I have a sidelight question.
Mine is the very last of the 200tdi's. When sidelights are on/ignition off the sidelights illuminate. Whith ignition on/engine running the sidelights are on, but the headlights are also illuminated on what seems to be very low power, disconect the left sidelight they both stay on, disconnect the right sidelight both headlights go out. I have had a power probe on the lights to check all earths etc but again can't find any faults. Is this headlight comming on normal or shall I bang my head against a wall somemore.

Thanks in advance for any replies as all help is appreciated.

I know the Disco's had a resistor pack on the sidelights which fed the full beam filaments when the ignition was on with a small current to illuminate them enough to give a good glow, look for a big resistor (looks like a heat-sink) probably up on the bulkhead. It may be fed only from one side (trace wires) as failure of these extra lights would not leave you without sidelights therefore it's not individually fused right and left.
