I finally got round to putting a 200tdi discovery lump into my mil90 but have a few questions...........
1, can I use the old radiator with an electric fan & the old military oil cooler and pipes?
2, Can I use a defender manifold & turbo and just pipe it in? I can use discovery inter cooler and make a bracket to support it and put 200 tdi exhaust on
It's just that I've read so many things about discovery to defender 90 but nothing about using 2 different tdi variants mixed & matched in same vehicle.
Any feed back would be hugely
appreciated, many thanks everybody
Colin

Yes you can mix and match to your hearts content, people also fit 300 turbos to the 200 engines for clearance issues in the series motors.
The main reason people dont use the defender turbo/manifold set up is because they are silly money, more than the disco tdi engine costs!
As for rad use whatever you want, I am using my original 1959 rad in my series 2 tdi conversion and thats been fine for 5 odd years now with a cheapo ebay 16 inch elec fan on the front.
Plenty of conversion bits/kits on ebay.
Any intercooler from anything will do.

In a nutshell 200tdi great engine, getting long in the tooth now, cool running hence you can do what you want coolant system wise, its one of them conversions where you cant really do anything wrong, best of all its all been done before so google is your friend especially images/pics fro reference etc.
