Hi all hope this is the right place for a first post from a new member. I have owned several land rovers over the years. starting with a 1949 80" (wish I hadn't sold that one), through a D1, 2 110csw, 110 hicap, a D2 and now a 130 double cab pickup. The 200tdi engine in my 130 went hydraulic driving through the local floods. It has bent a con rod amongst other things. Does anyone have or know of a 200tdi defender engine for sale? I can't afford to have it rebuilt or put in a reconditioned one at the moment. Thanks in advance.

    Hi and welcome!

I can’t help with the engine search other than post in the wanted section and keep an eye on the for sale section. Defender 200Tdi’s fetch good money though.

Let us know how you get on.

You could use your defender bits on a disco engine as there are more of them about.
Timing case and manifolds wouldn't take too long to swop over?

    Welcome.
This is Landyzone, the best community for Land Rover owners on the web.
As a community, we have the Introduce Yourself section, so that new members, like yourself, can post a little about themselves and their vehicle . Thus building on the community spirit of the site.
To keep it this way, rather than being constantly hit by smash and grab posters, sales and wants cannot be posted until a member has made 50 constructive posts.
If you're keen on green oval, hang about.join in the discussions, help where you can, or just learn. You will find 50 posts come sooner than you realise. Then you can legitimately put up a request to buy an engine.

Otherwise there is always the Bay
