200tdi engine needed

Hi all hope this is the right place for a first post from a new member. I have owned several land rovers over the years. starting with a 1949 80" (wish I hadn't sold that one), through a D1, 2 110csw, 110 hicap, a D2 and now a 130 double cab pickup. The 200tdi engine in my 130 went hydraulic driving through the local floods. It has bent a con rod amongst other things. Does anyone have or know of a 200tdi defender engine for sale? I can't afford to have it rebuilt or put in a reconditioned one at the moment. Thanks in advance.

I can’t help with the engine search other than post in the wanted section and keep an eye on the for sale section. Defender 200Tdi’s fetch good money though.

You could use your defender bits on a disco engine as there are more of them about.
Timing case and manifolds wouldn't take too long to swop over?
