200tdi Crankshaft oil seal

Hi all,

whilst im changing the clutch on my 200tdi ive decided it would be a good idea to replace the crank oil seal at the same time. Im after a genuine one ive found them at rimmer bros for about £36. Does anyone know any cheaper alternative suppliers or is that about as good as ill get without it appearing in a g marked blue bag

what difference does packaging make bp sell genuine as well as pattern

Im just worried about ending up with dodgy parts on this one, majority of stuff im not bothered about but id rather be as safe as possible with this

Turner Engineering sell one that they say is better than the one Land Rover sell. Not used it myself but might be worth a look?

Wouldn't take a chance with Britpart for a part that's such a pain to access, even if it's just the packaging that's blue!

genuine or oe or branded parts are the same from britpart as any other just usually better priced

Just looked turner engineer one, its just a dowty seal which was the original supplier to land rover apparantly which is £2 cheaper than the rimmer bros one

you probably are anyhow much of the genuine comes through britpart even at the dealers too

Yes, I've seen photos of a Britpart lorry pulling into a dealership. Concerning business indeed.

theres nothing wrong with britpart , its those that want cheap pattern that create the market as i said they wholesale both
