200tdi center replacement exhaust pipe

hey guys,I brought a center replacement pipe for my defender 90 200tdi because the exhaust fell off:doh:. it arrived today and it has two fixing bolt holes on the ends and my old exhaust has 3 fixings so now im stuck on what to do, I was thinking of cuting the ends off and using some stright exhaust joiners. would it pass the MOT if i done this? thanks matt

Yes it would be absolutely fine providing there are no leaks. Saying that... mine has a couple of holes in it and it's passed two years on the trot.

On mine i just cut the silencer out and welded a straight piece of pipe in its place.
Do the same use the new pipe with the old eends
