2007 Freelander locking itself

My Freelander 2 has started randomly locking itself. If I unlock it on the fob it immediately locks itself. Drive it and leave it, sometimes it locks itself. Leave the key in the ignition and shut the door, you guessed it it locks itself, somewhat embarrassing at the petrol station!!
Any ideas?

Maybe some water ingress somewhere, or does it happen on dry days as well, try recalibrating the fob?

I'd be tempted to see how old the battery is, and do a hard reset too.

I have heard of cars having issues with fobs in certain areas due to signal issues, but not random locking.
Have code read and check KVM/RFA modules and receivers for wiring issues and damp.
