2005 td4 immobilisor fault

hi is there anyone with really good knowledge of the ews 3d system on the freelander1. the issue came to me with needing replacement ignition barrel and receiver coil all parts are gen land rover parts from dealer if there any help i be grateful

A 2005MY Freelander won’t have EWS3D but SAWDOC

As far as I know if you change the ignition barrel and the key you will need to swap the key chip from the old key to the new one. The coil is just that, the coding is done in the immob unit and this is in turn matched to the engine management. So coil and barrel swap - just keep the old key chip.
