Morning

Past few weeks been suffering with a dead battery after a day or so.

Then yesterday the car gave up all together and would not even attempt to start even with a new battery.

Several hours of fault finding and checking we found that on many turns of the key some times it would fire up on the random occasion

When we held the key in the crank position with no affect what so ever we tapped the side of the ignition barrel and it fired up so believe a faulty ignition switch

Firstly would this cause battery drain too and also I need to get to the ignition switch and check connections or replace so how do I go about getting to it?

Thanks

Ian

Yes it can cause the drain as it could be a leak across the switch...

The Ignition Switch is a known failure item on the L322....

Removal and refit is covered in RAVE so grab yourself a copy - I am sure it is relatively simple to do....

Many thanks saint v8

For some reason I was not expecting it to be online but in book format

Thanks again
