2004 TD4 Drivers door stuck

My 2004 TD4 Freelanders drivers door is locked shut! When I use the remote fob there is a clicking from the relay and all locks work except the drivers door. I was initially able to lock/unlock the drivers door with the key but even this has now failed. I've manage to remove the upper door card minus one torx screw and now have access to the latch but still cannot release the door latch.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rectify the problem? ( or what may be the cause?)

I assume you mean its stuck as in locked?

Sounds like electrical fault with yer central locking possibly in yer drivers side door.
