Hi was just wondering is it possible to put an after market stereo into a 2004 facelift Freelander

Thanks

I've just done one recently in mine. I bought a facia adapter kit from a local motor audio place, that came with a pocket to fill the space below as I wanted a single din radio. The radio I bought (a pioneer) required me to go and buy an adapter for the electrics, but the halfords by me had one in stock so they can't be too rare. Although as the 04 is a crossover year there are 2 different types of connectors, I bought both and returned the wrong one. The radio came with a single din cage, fit perfectly in to the facia adapter.

Just be aware, you'll need to take out the arm rest pocket and all the trim around the radio and gear lever. You'll need torque bits and posi bits.
I did find a step by step video on youtube to get the old radio out, it took 10 minutes to get out 15 mins on thr radio and 15 minutes to get back together with minimal swearing. If you get a DAB plenty of space to run the aerial behind the gloveh box and the trim up the side of the window pops off easily to run it to the top of the front window.
Very easy if you get it all together.
