Hi All,
Been looking for heated seat switches for my son's facelift FL1. There seems to be two different types listed on eBay for the 03-06 models, i.e
  • LH Switch is either YUG103110LNF or YUG500290PUY
  • RH Switch is either YUG103100LNF or YUG500280PUY.
Does anyone know if they are interchangeable ?

I suspect they are not interchangeable by virtue of where/how they fit.

I've uploaded the screen grabs too for the above. It looks like a pre- and post-facelift switch issue. As for their connector, well f*cked if I know.

Found some that were advertised as 2004-2006. Switch is slightly more square on the edges, so hopefully the correct part. Unfortunately there's no part numbers referenced. Hopefully they work !!

The first picture is what I have ordered. Second pic is listed as 98-03.

Cool. Does seem strange the RH switch is usually much more expensive than LH, but I found a pair for £35.

Unfortunately, at the moment the car is in Milton Keynes, and I'm in Slough !! My son & girlfriend work nightshifts up there, and have their "lunch" in the middle of the night in the car, hence why they want them working. We did previously check continuity of the elements & relay function so switches should resolve the issue.

It seems the switch failure is quite common looking through threads on here.

Might be worth taking the old switches apart to see if the contacts are clean.
 
Will try that after the new pair arrive next week. Not sure if they can be disassembled easily though.

Plan-B was to get two blanks & install generic switches. They only need one contact for the heaters. The second contact just does the light in the switch, hence the four wires in the loom.

I would like an adapted 30A switch with a water discharge for passengers that complain... ;):eek:
