Hi,
Me again! Can anyone recommend a good replacement for the factory fit LR radio cassette to fit in the dashboard & that isn't a boy racer mobile disco unit but will give me iPod connectivity?

I have the 6cd changer unit under the seat, not worried if I lose this in order to get iPod functionality but if someone has done this already & has a good suggestion for what fits best without the need to alter the dash from standard at all I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I often wondered whether you could split the loom from the CD changer to the head unit and then put phono plugs on the L/R audio leads. That way you could use the Cd changer when you want or just pull the plugs apart and connect an mp3 player.

Has anyone done this, am I being naive that it would be that easy?

If you are happy with your head unit, but you want to use it with an ipod, why not get an fm receiver, just plug it into for fag lighter, tune it into a spare channel and away you go. Plug you ipod into the receiver and it will play through you system. Buy a good quality one and they do a great job.

I currently use a tape connection for playing my MS Zune mp3 player and it is fine, would just like something with less wires showing, probably same for original poster
