Hi,

I am looking to buy a second hand discovery.

Today i seen a silver 2003 with 67000 miles on the clock for around 8K

The dealer has a full service history and the car has only 2 owners, the internal trim is looking good and the out side is about right for a car this age but ! the stearing wheel looks like the rubber is coming away and becoming vary matt.

This makes me think that there may be more than 67000 miles on the clock

Is this normal on the discovery or is this a true sign of being clocked?

Hope some one can help

Sparkie

If there's a full service history, and presumably MOT's then you can have a quick check.

Lower mileage Disco's are around, but they tend towards higher mileages in my experience, so if that is a genuine mileage, it could be a good one, albeit a little expensive.

Thanks Lister

I will contact them in the morning to see the MOTs

Cheers
How did you get on?

Does seem a little on the expensive side....and as lister says about the mileage.... Generally speaking diesels USUALLY have higher miles than the equiv petrol hence usually people go dor diesels if they are going to be doing higher mileage to save £££ on the fuel costs.
