Looking for help/advice. The good wife has managed to lose one of the two remote keys for the disco. Just came back on oxygen after visiting the local dealer who says he wants £140 but cannot guarantee that when they try to copy the key they wont wipe out the key we give them...can this really happen? Remote key don't seem to have a replacement any info for sources of key and the programming thereof would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Phil

Yet another case of a dealer lying to a customer, the body control unit can have 4 keys programmed to it, so as long as they know which key you still have and which slot it is in (they can find that by simply opening up the fob and checking the code) then they can simply re-program the new key to any of the other 3 slots and those that are not used just write 0's to them to remove the "lost key".

Anyone can program a new or used key for you who has a Nanocom, or new key if they have a Hawkeye as long as it has the barcode attatched. Lots on ebay.

Where abouts are you in the UK ? I would program a key for nout.

Makes my blood boil with dealer tales like this.

I would have a look on google, there is a company who does them at a decent price.

Also, I don't trust many people unfortunately, I would not have the key sent to your home address in case they take a copy then know where to find the car!
