Hi,

I wondered if anyone would be able to help with a little advice. We recently purchased a 2003 Autobiography and although we are very happy with the car overall, we are having a few issues with the entertainment set up.
Firstly, we'd very much like to update the OEM Stereo/GPS for something a little more current. We'd like to add to the current range of options it offers particularly adding a Blue Tooth phone facility, IPod connectivity and DVB TV, along with a more up to date GPS system. Basically a whole new unit. Unfortunately I didn't do my research thoroughly and purchased a Chinese made Kooltron unit via eBay and have spent the past month trying to find someone who can fit it into the car. However, it's become increasingly obvious that this is just not going to happen:(
Can anyone recommend a suitable system that will provide the type of options I have mentioned? Any help and advice on this score would be greatly appreciated.
On another similar note, does anyone know where is the best place to track down an original, or replacement, remote for the rear DVD system. This is operating, but without the remote we can't get the discs to play. It would be very handy to get this working as we are planning to drive back to the UK from here in Rhodes in a month or so and will have an easily bored 5 year old along for the ride. A remote and a set of replacement infrared headphones would make the journey a lot more bearable for all involved.
As I say, any help and advice would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Gooooooogle TV in Motion....

The SatNav unit can be upgraded the the DVD based mk4 unit for better funtionality....

As fir the rest of the infotainment system, you are pretty stuck with what you have, the early L322 used a CAN network for the systems whereas the later 2005 onwards models used a fibreoptic based system called MOST (Media Orientated Something Something) and are incompatible with each other.

Hop over to fullfatrr.com - Index, and look for posts by a user called Joe90, he has done some marvellous upgrades with third party equipment including hooking up a PC based system controlled and displayed on the OEM screen.....

shame you have the vogue, The HSE model's (like i have) dont all have the satnav screen as standard so you can upgrade to any touch screen bluetooth system you want. i got mine off ebay (chinese) one and it works great !

SD card, USB, Ipod, Aux connection. whilst still integrating with the original 6 disk cd changer, amp'd 9 speaker system and steering wheel controls. not to forget it plays DVD's and it has handsfree bluetooth built in !

as far as i know, as long as you dont have the DSP audio upgraded system then you can fit an aftermarket head unit quite easily
